Paint Correction & Clear Coat Restoration in Phoenix
The Arizona sun is tough on paint. Over time it can leave a car looking faded, chalky or hazy, especially on the hood, roof and trunk. Paint correction and clear coat restoration can often bring that shine back without repainting.
Temporary stock photoWhat sun damage does to paint
Most modern cars have a clear coat over the color. Years of UV exposure, heat and washing wear that clear layer down. First you lose gloss, then the paint starts to look oxidized and faded, and swirl marks and light scratches catch the light. If the clear coat is completely worn through and peeling, polishing can't bring it back, and the panel needs to be refinished.
What paint correction can fix
- Faded or oxidized paint that has lost its gloss
- Swirl marks from automatic car washes and dirty towels
- Light scratches and scuffs that haven't gone through the clear coat
- Water spots etched into the finish
- A hazy, dull look that wax no longer fixes
How we restore your paint
- We look at the paint with you and tell you honestly whether it can be corrected, or whether the clear coat is too far gone.
- The car is washed and decontaminated so we're polishing paint, not dirt.
- We machine-polish in stages, removing a very thin layer of damaged clear coat to bring back clarity and gloss.
- We protect the finish afterward, and we can talk about ceramic coating or paint protection film to help it last.

Frequently asked questions
Can paint correction fix peeling clear coat?
No. Once the clear coat is peeling or flaking, there's nothing left to polish. That panel needs to be refinished. We'll tell you up front if that's the case.
Is paint correction the same as a wax or polish at the car wash?
No. Wax and glaze products fill in and hide defects for a short time. Paint correction removes the damaged layer, so the improvement lasts much longer, especially once the paint is protected.
How long does paint correction take?
Every vehicle is different, so the time depends on your paint's condition and the stage you choose. We'll give you a time estimate when you drop off, so you know just what to expect.
Should I correct my paint before ceramic coating or PPF?
Yes, if the paint has swirls, haze or oxidation. Coatings and film lock in whatever is underneath, so it's best to start with the paint looking its best.
